Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 May 2026

1. Our Approach to Cookies

1.1. Privify is built on a privacy-first philosophy. We use the absolute minimum number of cookies necessary to make the service work.

1.2. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or behavioural profiling of any kind.

1.3. Our marketing website (privify.co.uk) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — a cookieless, privacy-preserving analytics tool that does not set any cookies or fingerprint your device.

2. What Are Cookies

2.1. Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are used to remember your preferences or keep you logged in between page loads.

2.2. Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored for a set period). They can also be set by the website you are visiting (first-party) or by third-party services embedded on that page (third-party).

3. Cookies We Use

3.1. The Privify customer portal (app.privify.co.uk) uses strictly necessary cookies only. These cannot be disabled without breaking the service.

3.2. The Privify marketing website (privify.co.uk) sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare Web Analytics, which we use to understand aggregate traffic, operates entirely without cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1. Clerk — our authentication provider — may set additional cookies for security purposes such as cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection. These are strictly necessary for secure login. You can read Clerk's cookie policy at clerk.com/privacy.

4.2. Stripe — our payment processor — sets cookies during the checkout process to detect fraud and maintain payment session state. You can read Stripe's cookie policy at stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.

4.3. We do not embed any social media widgets, advertising networks, or analytics scripts that set third-party cookies.

5. How to Control Cookies

5.1. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. The links below explain how to do this in the most common browsers:

5.2. Please be aware that disabling cookies on the Privify portal (app.privify.co.uk) will prevent you from logging in, as our authentication system relies on session cookies to function.

5.3. Deleting cookies on the marketing website (privify.co.uk) will have no noticeable effect on your browsing experience, as we do not set any persistent cookies there.

6. Do Not Track

6.1. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. Because we do not track users for advertising or profiling purposes, this signal has no practical effect on how Privify operates — we behave the same way regardless.

7. Changes to This Policy

7.1. We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. As we use only strictly necessary cookies, we do not expect significant changes.

7.2. If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at support@privify.co.uk.
